What is this for?

A per-person checklist for a move within Spain or arrival from abroad. Changing the SpainForm profile does not notify any authority. Residence status and tax residence are not determined here; keep a separate confirmation for each recipient.

When can it be useful?

  • Coordinate padrón, tax contact, Social Security, vehicles and household services.

Where do I arrange it?

  • Punto de Acceso General: Cambio de domicilio · servicios electrónicos
  • AEAT: Cómo comunicar el cambio de domicilio fiscal
  • TGSS · Importass: Tus datos personales

What may I need first?

  • Municipality / province
  • Type of move
  • Move date and recipients still to update
  • New padrón details confirmed?
  • Vehicle registered in your name?
  • School-age children moving with you?
  • Registered business / self-employed activity?

Documents to prepare

  • Move date, former/new municipality and address evidence requested by each recipient; keep exact personal addresses in the official application.
  • Identity and any representation/guardian evidence required by that recipient; collect separate records for each household member.
  • A recipient tracker: organisation, current address, submission date, reference, confirmation and unresolved follow-up.
  • Existing municipal records, vehicle documents and relevant school, health or contract references, kept in your own file.

Practical route

  • List everyone moving and the date; decide who may act for each person.
  • Arrange the new or updated padrón through the municipality and retain its result.
  • Check the PAG address-change service for supported recipients; record exactly which organisations accepted an update.
  • Review tax contact details and Social Security records separately, using the correct route for your circumstances.
  • Review driving/vehicle contact, health centre, school, employer, bank, insurance and contracts as applicable.
  • Submit each outstanding update through its official channel and record receipt and any response deadline.
  • Verify the address shown in each account or confirmation; leave unconfirmed recipients open.

What comes next?

  • Keep submission and acceptance distinct; a sent request may still require correction.
  • Check that letters and bills reach the correct address and monitor pending official notifications.
  • Review each family member independently; one person's change does not update everyone.

Important to check

Preparation aid, not an official form or decision. The competent authority confirms eligibility, required evidence, fees and the outcome. Items marked for confirmation remain unresolved.
