• Evidence of any additional coto, reserve or species permission; ask whether navigation needs a separate authorization.

Steps in order

1. 1Locate the actual fishing site on the regional map; your home address does not determine the fishing authority.
2. 2Open the regional procedure below. Confirm the category, applicant conditions and whether an existing licence is recognized.
3. 3Check the current annual order: open season, size limits, daily catch limits, allowed gear and protected species. Record the rule for this waterbody.
4. 4Arrange coto/reserve access and any species or navigation permission before choosing a date.
5. 5Check the current fee and exemption conditions before paying. Submit through the accepted online or office route and retain proof.
6. 6Check the issued licence's name, category, territory and validity. A payment receipt is not automatically the issued licence.

After submitting

• Carry the required licence, identity and site permits while fishing.
• Recheck closures and reporting duties before every trip; put the expiry date in your calendar.
